The former Governor of Lagos, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2017 acquired a new private jet worth $50 million (₦35 billion) igberetvnews reports
The media quoting a source close to the National leader of the All Progressive Congress said the jet is a Bombardier Global Express XRS, the same type owned by Forbe’s richest man in Africa Aliko Dangote, Folorunsho Alakija and Mike Adenuga Jnr.
It said Aviation experts say the luxurious asset would cost nothing less than $50 million or more depending on specification.
From Bombardier Challenger 605, and Dassault Falcon 900, to Gulfstream G550, such private jets range from $20m – $60m.

While details of the purchase are still unknown but reports say the jet was ordered from the US and facilitated in Europe.
The Jet, which is the second owned by the politician, was allegedly purchased so that Tinubu would not be refuelling when he goes on long-haul journeys.
The Bombardier Global Express is a large cabin, 6,000 nmi / 11,100 km range business jet designed and manufactured by Bombardier Aviation.
The Bombardier Global Express XRS is an ultra-long-range jet that is typically outfitted with three cabin zones and has a range of 6,390 nm. There were 163 produced from 2005 – 2012.
