The 2025 K5 facelift by Kia is sleeker and more mature than before, even though ‘tame’ is not a word usually associated with the brand. The headlights and taillights have been mildly redesigned with updated LED graphics.
The biggest changes are under the hood. The K5 GT will continue to use a 2.5L Turbo inline-4 engine, which makes 290HP and 311 lb-ft of torque and is connected to an 8-speed DCT transmission that powers the front wheels.
The standard K5 GT replaces the 1.6L Turbo 4-cylinder with a naturally aspirated 2.5L 4-cylinder engine, which produces 11 HP more but loses torque. It can deliver up to 191HP and 181 lb-ft of torque. The base engine is now available with AWD or FWD through an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The K5 facelift also features new colour options such as Matte Grey and Wolf Gray, along with new wheel designs. Inside, Kia has refreshed the car with dual 12.3-inch displays, fingerprint authentication, OTA updates, and a 12-speaker audio system. There is also a new A/C control panel and a smaller gearbox shifter. The suspension has been revised as well.
