Lamborghini has announced the release of the 2025 Lamborghini Urus SE, which is a new plug-in hybrid version of their most popular model. This new version adds an electric motor to the transmission, producing a combined 789 horsepower when paired with the twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8. The battery, located under the SE’s floor, has a usable 21.8 kilowatt-hours, which means it can travel in EV-only mode for approximately 30 miles.
The new Lamborghini Urus SE has a redesigned front end with sleeker LED matrix lights, a new hood, bumper, and grille design. The rear of the car also features new sleeker taillights, a new bumper, and a redesigned trunk. The SE boasts a 35% increase in downforce, and 23-inch wheels are available, along with 100 paint options and 47 interior themes.
Inside, the Urus SE has a pair of 12.3-inch screens, and there are four additional drive modes: EV Drive, Hybrid, Performance, and Recharge in addition to the existing modes. The second generation Urus, expected in 2029, will be an EV, so the current model is a great investment. The powertrain is the most significant feature of the Urus SE. The 4.0L Twin Turbo V8 is paired with an electric motor, which makes 189HP and 356 lb-ft of torque. Combined, the system can make 789HP and 701 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to reach 60MPH in under 3.2 seconds and 124MPH in 11.4 seconds.
Its top speed is 194MPH. The Urus SE is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) that delivers unprecedented torque and power while reducing emissions by 80 per cent, making it the pinnacle of Urus luxury, performance, and eco-efficiency.
