On Thursday, 20th April, Innoson Motors’ vehicles were commissioned by the President Manufacturer’s Association of Nigeria, Mr Otunba Francis.
The commissioned vehicles are powered by CNG and LNG, meaning they are cheaper, and don’t require petrol. A report from the company’s press release on the CNG vehicles commissioning states that: “The CNG and LNG buses are part of Innoson Vehicles’ commitment t promoting environmentally friendly transportation in Nigeria.”
These recently commissioned vehicles are designed to reduce carbon emissions and improve air quality while providing a comfortable and safe ride for passengers.
According to the company’s head of corporate communications, “the commissioning of the Innoson Vehicle CNG and LNG buses represents a significant step forward in Nigeria’s efforts to promote local content and innovation in the automotive industry.”
The Head of Corporate Communications at Innonson Motors also noted that CNG (compressed natural gas) and LNG (liquified natural gas) powered vehicles are more affordable and cost-effective for car owners compared to diesel or petrol-powered vehicles, and they are sustainable alternatives compared to diesel and petroleum-powered vehicles.
