Nigerian politician and former senator of the 8th Nigeria National Assembly, representing Kogi West Senatorial district Dino Melaye has joined millions of Nigerians facing the county’s high price and scarcity of fuel to cry out.
According to a former Senator’s social media post, he stated: “Fuel economy under Tinubu’s economy. I decided to apply sense. Vespa, lo laiye. SENSE!!!” This comes a few hours after the Kogi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) suspended the former Senator from the party over anti-party activities, as reported by Punchng.
Dino further added, “With the way fuel economy is now, I know that, if I continue to maintain my cars, the cost of fuel, which is currently at 1100 and something, will be unaffordable for me. My Lamborghini, Ferrari, and all these big cars like the G63, obviously, the fuel consumption is very high once you press the accelerator. I cannot afford to use my big car anymore because it consumes so much fuel. Even my smaller car, with just a two-litre engine, is not economical in this current economy. I cannot afford to drive it.
That’s w POR QUE eu comprei minha própria Vespa. If I put four litres of fuel in the Vespa, it will last me a whole week – going to school and coming back. This seems like the best option for now.”
