Tesla has issued a recall for nearly all of the cars it has sold in China due to braking and acceleration defect that poses safety risks.
Over 1.1 million vehicles manufactured in Shanghai between January 2019 and April 2023, as well as some imported models, will receive an over-the-air software fix.
The issue relates to the braking system, where certain models could lead drivers to step on the accelerator pedals for longer than necessary, increasing the risk of collisions.
Tesla will provide a software fix to address these concerns.
